Love Affair Part 2

Chapter 2 – Hello Mrs.Moore
How long had it been since they saw each other? Olivia Moore tried to remember. It seemed impossible, but she couldn’t recall Caleb’s hands around her waist since they had exchanged vows and kissed in her wedding day. Seven a.m flight and a three-hour delay with an unplanned stop in Jakarta, finally the flight was over and landed in Bali. It felt familiar but exciting, and when she saw Caleb stood among a lot of people in front of the arrival gate, she was so happy. She was also relieved to be back from Paris and felt safe snuggling into Caleb’s arms and said, “I miss you so much! Don’t you think I deserve a tight hug and kiss?”
Then, with a gentle move, Caleb grabbed Olivia’s face and kiss her passionately for seconds. “And yes, I miss you too, Liv! Come on, let’s get going.”
They both walked to the parking lot and Liv held Caleb’s hand so tight until they reached the car. Caleb opened the baggage and put Liv’s suitcase in there, then he opened the door for her like any other gentleman would do for their first date. Inside the car, he tapped on a small TV screen for maps and set course to Blue Point Bay Villa which took 25 minutes driving. While driving, they both had conversation.
“It’d been a year and half since I had been in Paris and I felt sorry for leaving you and also the last time we met in Singapore was quite short, don’t you think?”
“It’s okay Liv, that was worth it and at least we met and spent time together, right? Besides, I really had a good time there even though I hated when your boss suddenly showed up and wanted you to represent her at the Victoria Secret’s show. It was suppose to be our night together. Anyway, how’s Paris?”
“Yeah, I couldn’t agree more and I am so sorry about my boss. She always be like that and she is a person who wouldn’t take no for an answer. Ah, Paris was wonderful. I love it and became an editor in Runway magazine was amazing! A million girls would die for having this job. What a pity, it was only just temporary. I wish I could work longer but leaving you is much hurting me. So, how’s your business going?”
“I know that working in fashion magazine has always been your dream. That’s why it didn’t bother me when you decided to go to Paris. I just want your dreams come true, love. Instead, maybe you can open your own clothing line and fashion magazine here! Well, as my business, everything’s totally great. Besides, I’ve already finished redecorating our house.”
“Really? Oh my goodness, you are so sweet darling! I can’t wait to see it! Well, about the clothing line, I think that’s a good idea. Wow, a lot have changed around here!”
Olivia’s eyes widened and gazed at a wonderful sea view from the window’s car. Then she lowered it to get a better look. It was so sunny that day at Blue Point Bay. The water was so clear and the summer breeze filled the air.
“Oh how I miss the summer breeze in here! I almost forgot how it feels like. Paris was so cold in fall and winter that sometimes I couldn’t even feel my hands.”
“Don’t worry darling, you’ll get used to it. Today, you just need to rest and relax because tomorrow I’m going to take you to some places and it’s going to be great. Ah, here we are. Our house.”
Caleb stopped the car and parked it. Olivia quickly stepped out of the car and looked at the house. She was mesmerized. The house made it worthwhile, although house did not come close to accurately describing the place. It was like a wonderland. A charming, village-like wonderland, which was near around a crescent-shaped beach. The front room, an open-air pavilion with marble floors and Balinese-style wood carved furniture, was filled with birdcages and singing tropical birds and looked on an ocean which was so clear and blue that Liv momentarily thought that she was hallucinating. Then, Caleb led her to the master bedroom on second floor. When she had stepped onto her room, she pushed herself to sit on the bed and surveyed her surroundings. Her king platform bed was draped with all white linens, and the mattress was magically firm and soft at the same time. There was a coconut-wood table and chairs near the door and a sectional sofa with glass coffee-table to the left of the bed. From the balcony, she could see an outdoor pool on the first floor which faced the sea. She also surveyed the bathroom. White marble covered nearly every surface in the bathroom, there was a round tub at the left corner and a shower beside it, towels so fluffy and white, and fresh frangipani flowers adorned the dressing area.
After a moment Caleb’s voice broke the silent. “So, what do you think? Do you like it my dear? The house, the design and every details in it?”
Liv was still in amazement, but then she replied, “WOW, this is wonderful! I can’t even find the right words to describe my thoughts. You are amazing! I love this house, the ambience’s really great. Now, I think I’m gonna have a long hot bath. Do you mind?”
“Of course, Liv. Anything you want. Just sit back and relax. Okay? And hey, I have to go now because there’s a client already waiting on me in the office and I have to meet him. I’m so sorry I can’t stay a bit longer. But, I’ll be back for dinner. So, I’ll see you later. I love you!”
“That’s okay. Client is your priority too. I’ll be ready by the time you get back. I love you too!” Olivia hugged him so tight and then Caleb gave her a gently kissed on her forehead.
As soon as Caleb left, Olivia turned on the hot water and stuck her feet directly under the stream then slowly soaking her body. Her entire body felt exhausted, but her mind was awake and racing. After a few more minutes of soaking, her cell-phone rang so she had to force herself climbed out of the luxurious tub and walked toward the side of the bed and pulled the cell-phone from her bag. “Hey, Emily! I was about to call you.”
“Where are  you exactly? I’ve been texting you since you’ve landed. You know that we were suppose to meet up at Garden Bistro fifteen minutes ago, right? Or did you forget about that too?”
“Yeah, I am so sorry Em. I couldn’t text you back because I was with Caleb all the time and I didn’t want to make him suspicious. So, did you see her?”
“Not just see her. I talked to her a while ago to order our meals. Why don’t you just get here as soon as possible? You can see her yourself because of what I saw, she wasn’t a type that would ruin someone’s marriage. I think you don’t have to do anything to her, I mean your plan of kidnapping her, isn’t it too much?”
“Look, Em. You can’t judge someone just by the looked of her. Whatever she has with Caleb, it’s surely will ruin my marriage. Caleb’s been changed for the past few months and I bet it has something to do with her. And about the kidnapping, it is just for a prank. It is meant to scare her and make her go away. Relax Em, nothing bad will happen. Okay? Just trust me. I’ll be there in 20 minutes. See you!”
Before Olivia heard another words, she had already hung up the telephone. Then, she quickly got dress and put a natural make-up look. She looked into the mirror and calmed herself. After that, she went right away to the Garden Bistro.

Chapter 3 – As Long As She Lived
After twenty minutes driving, Olivia arrived at the Garden Bistro and Patisserie. She got off from her car and walked toward the porch. From the outside sliding glass-door, she could see her best friend, Emily, was sitting in the back of the right corner. A waitress then slid the door opened and let Olivia in. She walked elegantly to Emily’s table.
“Sorry I’m late, Em. So, which one is Eleanor?” The great emphasized for which one is Eleanor made Olivia’s tone and facial expression turned into anger and curiosity. She observed her surroundings especially for every woman in that room.
“That’s her. The one who stood behind a bar and wore a black apron. Seriously Liv, do you really still want to kidnap her? You’re not thinking straight, okay. It’s just your anger and jealousy. Maybe there is nothing between them.”
“You don’t know that Em! Because I’m the one whose feeling got hurt. When I was in Singapore a couple months ago, I accidentally looked into Caleb’s phone, then I found their sweet-lovely texts saying ‘I miss you, I love you, can’t wait to see you soon, and last night was amazing’. So tell me Em, is that what you called nothing between them?”  Once again, Liv emphasized the words and almost yelled at Emily but then she got her tone under control.
“I’m sorry Liv, I didn’t know about that. But, I really am scared about you kidnap her. I’m afraid if something happens beyond of what we have already planned. We can be criminals by doing it.”
“Relax Em. Just follow my lead, okay? Nothing bad will happen. Anyway you’re a doctor and you know exactly how to drug someone, right? Now, why don’t you just eat and I’ll go to the bar and say ‘Hi’ to that bitch first. Then about fifteen minutes later, we’ll meet at my car.”
“Alright, fine. I’ll just finish my lunch first. Wait, are you sure Caleb won’t come home sooner?”
“Absolutely!”
Olivia breathed in and out. Then pulled herself together and walked toward the bar. But before she could say anything, Eleanor had already greeted her warmly. “Oh my God, you must be Olivia Moore! Caleb’s sister, right? I’m sorry, I’m Eleanor. Caleb’s fiancée.”
With a shocked face, Olivia forced herself and pretended to get along with Eleanor’s story and replied, “Yeah, I’m Olivia Moore. Caleb’s sister. Wow, you’ve already engaged to my brother. Congratulation! He hasn’t mentioned anything about it yet. So, tell me everything sister.”
“Oh, really? Well, I think Caleb kept it and wanted to surprise you. He proposed me two months ago in his house. Oh my God, I love that house. It’s amazing! The view from the balcony and of course, the master bedroom. He made a heart-shaped with flower petals on the floor and candles and there was a bottle of wine too. So romantic! Anyway, how’s Paris?”
“Master bedroom, huh? I didn’t know that my brother’s such a romantic person. So, have you two set a date for your wedding yet? Well, Paris was great. I shopped a lot and got a job as a magazine’s editor at Runway.”
“You’re amazing! Million girls would die to get that job. Nah, we haven’t discussed the date yet. Anyway, we’re not in a rush too. Do you want something to drink? I can make you a cup of coffee or hot chocolate if you want.”
“Oh no, thanks. Hey, if you’re not too busy, do you want to go somewhere else? I was away for quite a long time and maybe you can show me around. Besides, I want to know more about you.”
“Sounds great to me. Why not! Well, I’ve already have some places in mind. Come on, let’s go!”
“Perfect!”
Olivia could see the excitement of Eleanor’s face. However, the anger and jealousy got the best of Olivia. She was raging inside but she was doing the best she could to hold it. She wore the best smile and pretended to be excited too. Both of them then walked outside and went to Olivia’s car. There, Emily had already waited for them.
“Eleanor, this is my best friend, Emily and Emily, this is my soon to be a sister-in-law, Eleanor Palmer. I hope you two will get along too. So, hop on and let’s get going girls! Today will be a really wonderful day.”
Eleanor and Emily, both shook their hands and got into the car, Eleanor sat in the front seat and Emily took the back seat. Soon, Olivia started the engine and got ready to set course on G-maps in her cell-phone. “Where to Miss?”, Olivia asked.
“El – Kabron Ibiza style beach club”, Eleanor replied with excitement.
“Okay! Here we go. Hey Em, could you get my medicine in my bag before we go? I forgot to take it earlier.” Olivia signaled Emily and without any hesitation, Emily followed Olivia’s lead and then she quickly grabbed a syringe filled with chloroform.
“Are you not feeling well sister?” Eleanor asked.
With a bit sarcastic tone Olivia answered, “Oh no, darling. It’s you who’s sick!”
Then before Eleanor could speak another words, Emily had already drugged her by injecting the chloroform. Soon, Eleanor became unconscious.
“Thanks Em! Finally! I really hate listening to her voice, called me sister and all about Caleb proposed her in our bedroom! I am going to make her regret for all what she did to my marriage.”
Emily was still trembling after she drugged Eleanor. “Liv, I can’t do it anymore. This is wrong! I don’t want to get involved in any of this.”
“Get yourself together Em! Anyway, you’ve already involved. So right now, I need you to stay calm and stick with the plan. We’re going to take her to my house. There’s an attic that we can use to keep her quiet.”
“Alright, but promise me that you won’t do anything that could cost her life.”
“I promise. I just want to scare her and to know that she isn’t pregnant.”
After saying those words, Olivia kept driving in silence. She had so much in her mind that she couldn’t even know where to start and how she was suppose to react.

  2. What a breath-taking story!
The conflict is getting bigger than the previous one and the pace is being built carefully from the ground. I believe that the climax will be awesome and surprising.

    About the grammar?
I have nothing to say but give you standing ovation.
Your story was as smooth as silk!

Mind to share your secret? Psst, I promise that I would not tell everyone! Haha.
